We investigated the plasma hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL), and apelin levels in patients with hypertensive heart disease (HHD) plus coronary artery disease (CAD). Patients with hypertension hospitalized in Xuzhou Central Hospital were categorized into the HHD group and the HHD plus CAD group; 40 healthy subjects served as the control group. hs-CRP expression was determined with chemiluminescence.
