Expressed sequence tags
Expressed sequence tags related to nitrogen metabolism in maize inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense.
Characterization and development of 56 EST-SSR markers derived from the transcriptome of Odontobutis potamophila.
Analysis of genetic diversity of Leuciscus leuciscus baicalensis using novel microsatellite markers with cross-species transferability.
Changes on microsatellites of expressed sequence tag of sugarcane (Saccharum spp) during vegetative propagation.
Genetic divergence and admixture of ancestral genome groups in the sugarcane variety 'RB867515' (Saccharum spp).
Development of polymorphic SSR markers in the razor clam (Sinonovacula constricta) and cross-species amplification
Next-generation sequencing provides large-scale sequencing data with relative ease and at a reasonable cost, making it possible to identify a large amount of SSR markers in a timely and cost-effective manner. On the basis of the transcriptome database of Sinonovacula constricta obtained by Illumina/Solexa pyrosequencing, 60 polymorphic SSR markers were developed and characterized in 30 individuals. The number of alleles per polymorphic locus ranged from 2 to 7 with an average of 3.75 alleles.
Construction of a full-length cDNA library and preliminary analysis of expressed sequence tags from lymphocytes of half-pipe snowboarding athletes
The genes of top athletes are a valuable genetic resource for the human race, and could be exploited to identify novel genes related to sports ability, as well as other functions. We analyzed the expressed sequence tags from top half-pipe snowboarding athletes using the SMART complementary DNA (cDNA) library construction method to elucidate the characteristics of the athlete genome and the differential expression of the genes it contains.
