Molecular characterization, tissue expression profile, and single nucleotide polymorphism analysis of the periostin gene in swine
“Molecular characterization, tissue expression profile, and single nucleotide polymorphism analysis of the periostin gene in swine”, vol. 15, p. -, 2016.
, Periostin, also called osteoblast-specific factor 2, is an important regulator of bone, cardiac development, and wound healing. A recent study revealed that periostin plays an important role in tumor development and is upregulated in a wide variety of cancers. However, little is known about periostin in swine. Therefore, the cDNA sequence of the porcine periostin gene was obtained by rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE).
