R. X. Sun, Zhang, C. H., Zheng, Y. Q., Zong, Y. C., Yu, X. D., Huang, P., Sun, R. X., Zhang, C. H., Zheng, Y. Q., Zong, Y. C., Yu, X. D., and Huang, P., Molecular identification and genetic variation of varieties of Styphnolobium japonicum (Fabaceae) using SRAP markers, vol. 15, p. -, 2016.

Thirty-four Styphnolobium japonicum varieties were analyzed using sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers, to investigate genetic variation and test the effectiveness of SRAP markers in DNA fingerprint establishment. Twelve primer pairs were selected from 120 primer combinations for their reproducibility and high polymorphism. We found a total of 430 amplified fragments, of which 415 fragments were considered polymorphic with an average of 34.58 polymorphic fragments for each primer combination.

Invasive plants tend to spread aggressively in new habitats and an understanding of their genetic diversity and population structure is useful for their management. In this study, expressed sequence tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers were developed for the invasive plant species Praxelis clematidea (Asteraceae) from 5548 Stevia rebaudiana (Asteraceae) expressed sequence tags (ESTs). A total of 133 microsatellite-containing ESTs (2.4%) were identified, of which 56 (42.1%) were hexanucleotide repeat motifs and 50 (37.6%) were trinucleotide repeat motifs.

Association of CD36 expression and polymorphism with serum biochemical indices in Cherry Valley duck

D. D. Wang, Li, W. G., Zhang, Y. Y., Wang, D. D., Li, W. G., and Zhang, Y. Y., Association of CD36 expression and polymorphism with serum biochemical indices in Cherry Valley duck, vol. 15, p. -, 2016.

Cluster of differentiation 36 (CD36) plays a crucial role in lipid sensing, innate immunity, atherogenesis, and glycolipid metabolism. This aims of this study were to delineate the CD36 mRNA expression profile in 16 duck tissues using relative quantitative real-time PCR and to screen single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the duck CD36 gene by PCR-single strand conformation polymorphism and DNA direct sequencing. In addition, this study investigated CD36 gene expression, genetic variation, and their effect on serum biochemical indices in duck.

Ancestry analysis of locally adapted Crespa goats from southernmost Brazil

D. D. Lopes, Fernández, G. P., Poli, M., Moreira, G. R. P., Gonçalves, G. L., Freitas, T. R. O., Lopes, D. D., Fernández, G. P., Poli, M., Moreira, G. R. P., Gonçalves, G. L., and Freitas, T. R. O., Ancestry analysis of locally adapted Crespa goats from southernmost Brazil, vol. 15, p. -, 2016.

Crespa goats are phenotypically similar to the Angora breed, and are traditionally reared in small, low-tech farms in southernmost Brazil. Whether they represent degenerated remnants of pure Angora goats or result from foreign breeds introduced during colonial times and recently mixed with commercial breeds is unknown.
